With the initial meeting of the consortium partners on 18 October 2018, the “COMFORT” project was successfully launched directly at the Know-Center in Graz. In the next two and a half years, the consortium of scientific and industrial partners will intensively deal with the topic of thermal and air quality comfort in offices. In the course of this, a portable measuring unit will be developed for recording the essential parameters such as room air temperature/humidity (or similar) and state-of-the-art methods will be used for their analysis. These measurements are combined with data from existing building technology and simulation. This allows a new, data-driven approach to the topic of comfort to be explored. The project is funded by the program ‘ICT of the Future’ (6th Call 2017) of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT).
